Donald R. Cavan

Donald Cavan is a real estate management consultant who has worked
on a broad spectrum of assignments including commercial real estate
finance, real estate market research, organizational analysis, land
use planning and as an educator.
Donald is the creator of Termzsheets.com, the commercial real
estate loan reporting service. As a Senior Manager in the management
consulting division of KPMG Peat Marwick he was a practice leader
responsible for originating professional service engagements and
managing multiple specialty scopes of work. Mr. Cavan has participated
in several high profile bankruptcies on behalf of real estate and
financial institution clients.
As a Research Manager, he specialized in managing large teams of
real estate researchers working in difficult to research markets
for CoStar Group. Serving as an Executive Vice President of Finance
for real estate companies, he coordinated acquisition, development
and construction financing for master planned communities and shopping
centers.
Numerous articles are to his credit, including those published
in professional real estate finance journals as well as online by
the CoStar Group and in newsletters by KPMG Peat Marwick. He is
a member of the faculty of several community colleges where he teaches
a variety of courses in the subject
of geography.
Mr. Cavan is a professor at a San Diego based University where
he teaches a graduate class in Real Estate Investing for the MBA
program. Mr. Cavan received a Bachelors of Science degree with honors
from Michigan State University in Public Management, as well as
a Master of City Planning degree from San Diego State University
and a Master of Arts degree in Geography also from San Diego
State
University.
He is a Principal with REMCO Real Estate Management Consulting, LLC
and has affiliations with the Mortgage Bankers Association, the
International Council of Shopping Centers and the Appraisal Institute.
